About Me

My name is Remco, 45 years old, based in Stockholm, Sweden. Whether I work as a software engineer, tech lead, engineering manager, staff engineer or product manager, I enjoy solving problems, contributing real business value, sharing knowledge, and most of all spreading a positive vibe to the folks around me.

During my 20+ years in IT, I have mostly worked with integration platforms, infrastructure and identity & access management. I have learned a great deal about engineering practices, design patterns, programming languages, infrastructure architectures and leadership. An ever growing list of experiences I keep extending.

Nowadays, I focus primarily on identity & access management technologies. I have a passion for open source and contribute occasionally to Keycloak and the terraform provider for Keycloak. I have co-created the oidc-cli tool.

My ambition is to contribute to making our society a little more secure and privacy-friendly. In my work I try to simplify and improve systems continuously, not with high-flying ambitions, but through all the small actions and decisions I make, every day.

When I am not busy with projects, I enjoy running, listening to music, reading books, spending time with my kids and family or practicing acroyoga.
